Fidgi and Productions Optimales: when trust opens up the possibilities

Some collaborations begin around a very specific need. Then the meetings multiply, trust is established, and the ideas gradually find a larger place.

This is the path we are following with Fidgi, a project in itself.

A first round of filming to get to know each other

When the team from Fiji entrusted us with their first assignment, they wanted to present their services and highlight the people who make the company run.

Fidgi assists automotive dealerships in developing their sales, notably by organizing trade events, setting up appointments, and nurturing their client base. Our initial mandate was to make these services known while highlighting the employees who make them possible. We wanted to clearly showcase Fidgi’s expertise, demonstrate the human dimension of its support, and give dealerships a concrete reason to trust it to support their business goals.

This first meeting allowed us to discover their ways of working and their priorities. For their part, the people of Fiji saw our team at work and began to envision what we could imagine together.

We learned to get to know their brand image, tone, audience, and the details that make Fidgi recognizable. The conversations became more spontaneous, and ideas followed.

As trust grows, imagination expands.

From corporate video to humorous concept

For our most recent collaboration, Fidgi wanted to stand out with a creative concept that reflected its original offering and personality. The goal was to capture the attention of automotive dealerships through a humorous and narrative approach, while highlighting what distinguishes the company and its services. This desire led us to envision three capsules where the characters, dialogues, and staging bring the world of Fidgi to life, with a touch of boldness and a lot of fun.

We designed three capsules inspired by the codes of cinema, with dialogues, costumes, sets and visual effects on the green screen. This new formula required more extensive preparation and a larger production team.

The ideation, writing, storyboards, and validation of the costumes took up a large part of the work upstream. This time spent preparing the details allowed us to approach a full day of filming with a shared vision and leave room for the fun of playing.

On the set, the employees of Fidgi got involved in front of the camera. We accompanied them in this first experience of acting, working on the dialogues, the rhythm and the intentions with them.

Our familiarity with their universe and the trust built together helped us find the right tone, while keeping our focus on their communication goal.

A few years after our first half-day of filming, we are gathered around Hawaiian costumes and characters created for their campaign. The setting has changed, but the camaraderie has remained.

To bring Super-Fidgi to life, we explored various visual paths using generative AI. This ideation phase allowed us to quickly define a colorful, offbeat, and cohesive universe for the three capsules. From these references, our team designed and created the final costume, transforming a visual intention into a character ready to come to life in front of the camera. Fidgi was informed of our approach from the very beginning of the project: the document clearly stated that the generated images served as references, not as final visuals.

The right means in the right place

These two films also tell the story of how we work at Productions Optimales: every idea deserves the means chosen for it.

It all starts with a real conversation with our clients. We talk about their business, their brand image, their audience, and what they want to achieve. The more we know about their reality, the better we can create a video that resonates with them and serves their goals.

Our agility allows us to quickly pivot with a small team when the need is immediate, then deploy a more ambitious production when the idea calls for it. We allocate the hours and budget where it is needed, according to the priorities of each mandate.

For the first video of Fidgi, a short preparation and a half-day of filming allowed us to focus our efforts on capturing and editing. For the three capsules, we devoted more time to the design and preparation, then assembled an expanded team for a full day of filming.

We also created three 15-second vertical videos (9:16), subtitled for social media, to encourage people to discover the full capsules. This variation was planned from the start of filming: when necessary, we adjusted the scenes to ensure they worked both horizontally and vertically.

Two rhythms, two ways of producing, with the same attention paid to what Fidgi wanted to tell.

The confidence that grows, project after project

Fidgi is one of the examples of these relationships that we love to grow with our clients.

Over time, we discover the nuances of a brand, the reflexes of a team, and the challenges of a company. This shared knowledge helps us to quickly propose relevant ideas and recognize the moments when it is necessary to take the time to develop them.

Trust flows in both directions. Our customers discover what our team can offer them, and we increasingly understand what they like. The creative possibilities naturally expand.

Do you have a video project in mind? Let's talk about it. A beautiful collaboration sometimes starts with just one idea.
