Émie Morissette is a painter and actress known for her role in Star Trek Continues and her paintings of famous characters from the history of cinema. For the holiday season, she forayed into the world of song, covering a popular American Christmas classic, "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas". The music, specially arranged and recorded for the video under the direction of Lily Thibodeau, also the project's artistic director, takes us back to the cabaret and fantasy days of the '50s. Filmed entirely in the studio, our team had a lot of fun creating this universe in which snow, color, melody and humor lull our senses.

Moon River

A reworking of a cult song from the film Breakfast at Tifanny's, re-orchestrated by the talented Lily Thibodeau, the Moon River music video plunges the endearing duo of Émie Morisette and Vic Mignogna into a universe somewhere between the fairy-tale kitsch of the '50s and the B-movie sci-fi of the '60s. Shot entirely at the Musée de la Civilisation, with rear-projections and special effects created on location, its syrupy, old-fashioned aesthetic presents the complicit performance of two multidisciplinary artists united around a lunar theme. Thanks to the institutions and craftsmen involved in this project.
