Quebec's first diamond mine

The Swallow family, a Cree family living in northern Quebec, are extremely welcoming people, always smiling and very close to nature. They were open to Stornoway's Renard project, which involves developing a working environment conducive to diamond exploration on their territory, 350 km north of Chibougamau.

We've been following the development of this extraordinary project since Route 167 was built in 2013 and, after 6 trips, we have every reason to believe that the best surprises are yet to come...

The mine officially opened on October 19, 2016. This video had over 130,000 views in its first week.
