Business Development Director

Guy Perkins wears many hats under one umbrella: understanding the "hows" and "whys" of the world. With his thirst for knowledge, he seeks the most efficient way to meet customer needs. He likes to describe himself as a conduit between specialists and customers. In his spare time, the Business Development Manager writes a weekly column on QUB radio's Richard Martineau show. With his talent for popularization and his outstanding communication skills, Guy creates the ideal conditions for a deal to maximize your video production project. Since his childhood in the Limoilou district, he has maintained a steady cultural diet of documentaries and essays on all subjects. This vast intellectual curiosity is coupled with a profound humanism. The people around him fascinate him. Guy prefers to reflect on this concrete aspect of his life.

He went on to study special education at the Cégep de Ste-Foy. Despite having learned a great deal during this training, his taste for adventure and risk-taking pushed him towards the field of business development. Inspired by an uncle with undeniable charisma and a successful salesman, he completed a certificate in administration with the intention of following in his uncle's footsteps. It's an understatement to say that he takes the good of others to heart, and bases his approach on trust. He wants to create a "fit". After a meeting, thanks to this sensitive listening to his interlocutor, Guy Perkins builds long-term relationships. He makes a point of identifying the customer's needs and delivering what is said. According to him, he gains credibility with others through three cardinal virtues of a salesman: patience, humility and candor. His former inner social worker cements his partnerships with reciprocity and sharing.

His interest in administration and customer contact developed unexpectedly at Uniboard, a composite panel manufacturer. Starting out as an inside salesman, he was promoted to regional sales manager in the blink of an eye. Guy stands out for his ability to learn quickly and his extraordinary adaptability. The word agile seems to have been invented for him. Guy Perkins has traveled the United States and Canada developing business partnerships for over 30 years. He radiates product knowledge and human values. Guy is not afraid to return to the fray over time, but always with his customers' objectives in mind. His rigorous approach is evident in his follow-ups and estimates.

Published author of a scientific and philosophical essay (Do chimpanzees dream of a banana paradise?), Guy Perkins weighs his words and facilitates exchanges with a particular concern for clarity and concision. He sprinkles his interventions with a sense of humor characterized by refinement and wit. On a regular basis, the blogger himself produces original content for his satirical page, Perks. He claims that humor is a formidable teaching method.

Naturally playing with images as a journalist, Guy has always been fascinated by video, without daring to indulge in it for lack of time. Attracted by new media, for several months he conceived and hosted a podcast recorded in his home studio, where he hosted well-known personalities such as Jean-François Lisée. He also became a content provider for the Journal de Montréal for several years.

However, the podcast and journalism were not enough for him. He took a year off to write a documentary project on religions. This project eventually became his book. Nevertheless, Guy didn't give up film for all that. He joined Productions Optimales in 2023. Creativity remains the best way for him to achieve his goals and reach his full potential. He insists that "thinking outside the box" doesn't prevent him from being pragmatic. With Guy, the balance between reason and pleasure finds its proudest representative.
