Thomas Morin, born for the rhythm of images and sounds

Editor - Sound editor - Sound recordist

When an edit seems to match the tone of its subject and flows naturally; when the marriage between sound, image and subject matter leaves room for feeling; when form serves the message; it's thanks to the behind-the-scenes work of an editor like Thomas that we achieve this result.

The young multi-disciplinary artist has already demonstrated his boundless curiosity through a varied career dotted with contrasts. From an early age, in addition to working in a variety of manual trades, Thomas has practiced the art of "criage", as he likes to jokingly call it. He sings and composes lyrics mainly for several hardcore bands and different musical styles in parallel. It's through this passion for musical expression that other art forms reveal themselves to him. Little by little, while toiling away in the factory, he scripted, filmed, edited and starred in over a dozen music videos. Thomas decided to train professionally in all areas of post-production at ATM College. Shortly afterwards, Thomas worked as a stage technician for major shows, did data management for TV sets and honed his editing skills in a series of short fiction films of his own, with a humorous twist.

A voracious cinephile, a lifelong audiophile and an innately curious mind, when Thomas is asked about a founding experience in his passion for editing, he recounts his first viewing of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill at the cinema with his mother as a teenager. At that moment, he says, he understood the unlimited, free, colorful and lively side of the medium. The mix between this interest in the extraordinary side of art and his more down-to-earth knowledge of the industrial working world meets in a sincere curiosity about society and the people who make it up. He loves the diversity of human activity and exploring it.

At the heart of Thomas' interests is the search for new fields and authentic stories. He loves to use his technical knowledge to tell stories about people and their differences, adding the musical touch and humility of a man who has been on the factory floor. This modesty gives him an uncommon ability to listen. This attention to others combined with his warm sense of humor make him a formidable storyteller behind precise technological tools. Sensitive to the blending of images and sounds, he always tries to find a different way of making them interact in the service of your vision.

His natural sense of rhythm will find the right musicality for your project.
